I woke up in the morning, my mind racing, a complete ball of nerves. My belly was so full of butterflies, it was like they were having a full-on dance party in there. I had never been professionally photographed before and kept thinking about what it would be like. Would my hair turn out okay? Would Sebastian have fun? Would I have fun? Would it be awkward? Would the weather turn out okay? Oh, please, let the weather be okay! I had woken up throughout the night checking a whopping 15 times, only to accidentally switch my phone over to another city where there was going to be a full-on thunderstorm.
Sebastian and I hopped in the car and drove across the city to an abandoned apple orchard on the outskirts of our hometown. As we walked the property, it was magical. The little house in the distance, the empty barns, the tire swing that hung from the tree, the beauty... it was exactly what I had hoped for without even knowing it.
With the first snap of the shutter, all of those nerves faded away. It was just Sebastian and me. Whispering in between shots, sneaking kisses, making jokes, and laughing hysterically. It was a day that I will forever cherish deep in my heart. Where, in moments like this, it makes me step back and think about how lucky I am to be marrying my best friend.
Our engagement shoot was taken by the incredible Last Forty Percent. Booking them as our photographer was actually the only thing I knew I wanted before we got engaged! Our photographer, Yaira, made us both feel so comfortable and made the whole process just so easy and fun. They are truly passionate about what they do and are so amazing to work with throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend them enough! I absolutely love how everything turned out and hope you do too!
Here's some of my favourites...

I love these pics! And I really love the two different feels between the outfits. It's smart to get a different "mood" from each of the outfits. Ours are sort of similar and so it isn't that big of a difference. These are GREAT!
