Home For Thanksgiving

There's nothing quite like that perfect Fall day. The vibrant colours of changing leaves, the way the cool, crisp air hits your face. This year's Thanksgiving was no exception. We spent our time admiring the sights as we walked hand in hand through parks and down different paths, stopping to take in as much as we could. There's no turning back - the signs of Fall are in full force. It surrounds us when we step outside, and catches our eye in the little details around home.

Thanksgiving was spent with our favourite people in the whole world. We listened to our favourite songs, ate our favourite foods, and ultimately, danced the night away. It's times like these that make you step back and realize how damn lucky we are.

And oh yes, the stretchy pants were definitely needed. The smell of turkey (ahem - a beast of a turkey, nonetheless:) cooking in the oven all day means snacking all day long, not just during dinner. And just when you think you can't possibly eat any more? That's right - they bring out the apple pie. Scratch that - they bring out Grandma's homemade apple pie. The kind of pie that you just can't say no to. It's good for the soul, I tell you.

...What can I say? Food makes me happy :)

  2. I hate that Canada's and the US's Thanksgivings are so far apart... because now I'm craving Turkey! It sounds like the most fantastic of days, any day involving that much food is a surefire winner in my book!

  4. Thanksgiving is the best. I like it so much that I am hosting round two this weekend. Well mostly because my husband was said that he didn't get to take home any leftovers.
