words: Top 5 Regrets of the Dying

Usually I like to keep this space light and uplifting, but today I'm going to share an article with you that's more on the serious side. I read this a while ago, and for some reason haven't quite been able to get it out of my head.

The same theme keeps repeating itself in my head... Never stop dreaming. When you think you've reached the top, aim higher. Do the things you love. Surround yourselves with the people you love. And let them know just how much you love them.

After all, you only live once.

People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality. I learnt never to underestimate someone’s capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.
