33 Ways To Stay Creative
Just popping in quickly to say hello! About 35395235 tasks have creeped in on this week, all wanting my attention so I've been a busy bee trying to stay on top of it all. My days are being spent catching up on work, and our nights are spent packing as we get set to move in less than two weeks now! To say that I'm excited is a weeeeee bit of an understatement. The wheels are a turnin' in this brain of mine as I sort through paint and fabric swatches, order new furniture, and plan each room in our new place.
I found this list of 33 ways to stay creative what seems like eons ago and now have it posted proudly so I can remind myself daily to make space for the things that make me feel creative. All points come packing a big punch, but I'd say 4, 6, 18, 24, 29, 30, and 33 resonate with me most.
So - to all you creatives out there (and by the way - we're all creatives), keep on keeping on and live the dream xx
A little Q&A: What's going on in your world lately? Any new and exciting projects you're taking on? I'd love to hear all about it so don't be afraid to drop me a line in the comments!
P.S. Sebastian sent me this link yesterday, and I immediately saved it to my favourites folder, changing the title boldly to "LOVE THIS LOVE THIS LOVE THIS". Here's to not being average!

I like many of the ideads on this list. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWe are also moving (we ended up being approved to rent a house that we really wanted - yay!) in about two weeks.
This list is wonderful! I want to print it out and hang it somewhere that I can see it every day. :]

YES! Definitely a must ;)
Delete24 made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI like to be creative by sitting unconventionally (ex: tucking a leg or 2 underneath me while in my rolly desk chair). I used to rest my left foot on the map holder inside the door when I would drive long distances in my old car. I think moving the body in ways it doesn't normally gets the brain thinking it ways it normally doesn't.
Looking for patterns also helps. You first have to define the box before you can think outside of it.
I love this! Totally pinning this to Pinterest! I think #18 Allow yourself to make mistakes & #22 Get lots of rest are very true for a creative life! Thanks for sharing! Happy Thursday!
